Welcome to Bury CE Primary School

Welcome

Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in our school.  We hope that you'll find plenty of useful information on these pages which will give you an insight into what our school does. We do encourage parents to visit us in person to experience the caring and happy atmosphere of our school.

We have a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed staff, a supportive Governing Body and an active Friends of Bury School. We welcome parents’ support and practical help in every aspect of school life. We have a number of agreed principles underlying our school life and these are incorporated in our own school aims which you can find by clicking on the ‘About Our School’ tab at the side.

In 2008 Ofsted concluded that ‘Bury is an outstanding school’ which we are very proud of. As a church aided school we also had a SIAS inspection which looked at the characteristics of the school as a church school and they concluded that 'Learners feel secure and happy in the gentle nurturing atmosphere of the school and have an obvious pride in it’. Copies of both reports can be downloaded by clicking on the ‘Links’ tab at the side.

Our hopes are expressed in the value we place on our pupils. Each makes a distinctive contribution to the life of the school, and each will gain something different from their time at Bury.  Our intention is that they will all take forward with them the idea of education as an enjoyable, continuing process, as well as values that will stand them in good stead throughout their lives.
